Heartfelt Holiday 2009 is November 14 & 15!

Every November, Brecksville Center for the arts presents its premier fundraising event. Join us for the 18th Annual Heartfelt Holiday, a juried, Fine Art & Handcrafted Gift Show on Saturday, November 14 (10AM-5PM) and Sunday, November 15 (11AM-4PM). Brecksville's beautiful Community Center is decorated and transformed by dozens of dedicated volunteers into an upscale marketplace of unique artistic gifts and collectible art for all ages.

Artist's booths are staged throughout the community center, in areas known as Merchant Square (the field house) and The Commons (community room). The Boutique (activity room) is a trendy and beautiful assortment of artist goods on consignment for the show. Dozens of artists' work are displayed, including jewelry, photography, evening purses, scarves, hats, dolls, and home accessories and décor. From funky to fabulous, the Boutique carries just what you're looking for!

Proceeds benefit Brecksville Center for the Arts (BCA), a non-profit regional arts center dedicated to the enhancement and appreciation of artistic skills through hands-on instruction and programming. BCA offers classes and programs for students, ages pre-school through adult, throughout the year.

Heartfelt Holiday tickets are $5 at the door, with BCA members free. $3 for Seniors and Students. Children under 12 are free, but must be accompanied by an adult.

The Brecksville Community Center is located on Community Drive off route 21, one quarter mile south of route 82. Limited parking is available at the Community Center. Free parking is also available at the city's municipal lot. For the convenience of patrons, a complimentary shuttle service will operate continuously during the hours of the show.

Free Workshops Benefit Heartfelt Holiday!

Every year people help BCA by attending a Free Platter Workshop. The workshop is a great opportunity to make clay press plates and work in a festive atmosphere while helping BCA. Each person makes two plates; one to take home and one to be sold at the annual Heartfelt Holiday event. It's an easy way to learn a new skill and volunteer your artwork to a good cause! BCA is grateful to our fine ceramics faculty for the generous donation of time and talent.

For information, call BCA Monday through Friday, 9:30am-4pm, Tuesday, 9:30am-6pm at 440/526-6232.

Unique Trees and Gift Baskets

A visit to Heartfelt Holiday is not complete without a visit to the Tree and Gift Basket area. Each of these unique gifts reflects the creativity and generosity of the volunteer designer. All proceeds benefit BCA programs.

One of the highlights of a visit to Heartfelt Holiday is meeting the artists.
Last year you saw returning artists like Chinese Watercolor master Anna Hsu and Zenia Lis who creates beautiful jewelry pieces.
